BTCCSquare news:

Cloudflare has forged a strategic alliance with Visa, Mastercard, and American Express to pioneer secure infrastructure for autonomous digital transactions. The collaboration centers on Web Bot Auth—a protocol enabling AI agents to authenticate identities before executing payments, while shielding merchants from bot-driven fraud.

Visa is co-developing its Trusted Agent Protocol to embed Web Bot Auth within its Intelligent Commerce platform, while Mastercard integrates the framework directly into its payment ecosystem. This trifecta of payment giants aims to establish transparency and fraud prevention standards for the emerging agentic commerce paradigm.

The initiative positions Cloudflare as critical infrastructure for the next evolution of digital commerce, where trusted software agents conduct transactions without human intervention. Payment networks gain tools to differentiate legitimate AI-driven purchases from malicious activity—a growing necessity as autonomous economic agents proliferate.
